Overview
If you’ve ever stepped on the mats and wondered what to work on next, My BJJ Game Plan gives you the answer. Our web app creates a personalized training roadmap based on your style, goals, and skill level—so every roll, drill, and study session moves you closer to mastery.
From positional strategies to submission chains, your plan adapts as you grow, keeping your training focused and progress measurable. It’s like having a coach in your pocket, guiding you every step of the way.
The Challenges
BJJ progress can stall without structure. Many practitioners spend years rolling without a clear direction, leading to slow growth and missed opportunities. Our challenge was to design a platform that delivered highly personalized plans in a way that was both motivating and easy to follow—without overwhelming the user.

Project Research
We studied how practitioners at different belt levels structure their training, from hobbyists to competitors, focusing on clarity to ensure plans were simple to understand and act on, customization to adapt strategies to individual games, goals, and body types, and retention to create a system that kept users engaged over time.
Design Strategy
We created a clean, focused interface with an easy onboarding flow, guiding users through plan generation in just a few steps. Progress tracking, skill flowcharts, and video references were integrated for deeper learning without clutter.
Finalize
The final design merges structure and clear visual breakdowns of techniques, flowcharts to connect positions, and adaptive plans that evolve as the user improves. Whether preparing for competition or sharpening fundamentals, users always know exactly what to train next.
If you’ve ever followed a great workout plan, you already know the value of structured progression. My BJJ Game Plan applies that same principle to jiu-jitsu, giving you a focused, evolving path to improvement. So you can spend less time guessing and more time growing
Success Ratio
Testing with early users showed a 97% success rate in following and completing their first month’s plan, with reported improvements in focus, technical understanding, and rolling performance.
