Where this came from.
I'm Eric Chemwor, founder and principal engineer of Astro Digital Labs. Before ADL I worked in automotive supply chain IT at General Motors. I build and run my own software products and lead every ADL build. The engineer who reads your request is the engineer who writes the code, and I work in writing rather than on calls, which suits agencies: you get a scope you can forward, updates you can read on your own time, and a record of every decision.
Supply-chain IT is a useful place to learn this trade. The software is unglamorous, the data is messy, and the failure modes are expensive and quiet: a reconciliation that silently drops rows, a nightly job nobody notices has not run since Thursday. It teaches you to build the boring parts properly, which is most of what an internal tool is.
Alongside client work I build and operate my own software. Document AI and outreach automation for DisputeMyHOA, a multi-tenant SaaS with telephony and billing in AxleDash, a Flask API and reconciliation pipeline for Hydroflow, a native iOS app in MedScouter. I run them, so I see the part most consultants never do: what a system is like to own eighteen months later.
